CREAM

Cream was my first encounter with blues-rock and Mr. Clapton. It all started during summer 1967, when I heard the Cream single Strange Brew.
In November 1967 Cream played in Helsinki and did a playback show for Finnish TV. These already respected musicians looked pretty outrageous in their hippy clothes and wild hairstyles as they mimed their way through 4 songs fr
om Disraeli Gears. Clapton became my idol and in hindsight the choice was right: This talented guitarist became one of the most successful musicians ever, with a varied and dramatic career.

These unofficial recordings below show both sides of Cream: Great interplay and search of new musical paths and then also the dullness of 20 minute guitar, drum or harmonica solos. It certainly isn't a miracle, that Cream disbanded after only a couple of years. Nobody could last that kind of touring. But you can't but admire the heroic attitude displayed here on many gigs

My personal favorites: Grande Ballroom, Live in Europe
